The 10/30/60 marketing rule is an easy place to start when you’re creating a basic marketing plan for your business.
It was created by marketing expert Jay Levinson and he argues that
10% of your budget/efforts should go to engaging everyone you can regardless of whether they fit the image of a perfect potential customer aka your customer profile
30% should be spent on engaging potential customers that fit your customer profile
And the remaining 60% should be spent on engaging your current customers to turn them to repeat purchases and brand loyalty
By following this breakdown you can make sure that you’re being strategic about creating opportunities for future sales.
